Northern Uganda

This started as the on-line journal of Africa Anonymous while she was an Graduate Fellow researching and working in Northern Uganda. You gotta be good. You gotta be strong. You gotta be 2,000 places at once.

This is a performance group in the camp, performing a welcoming song for us. We later got up and danced all together - to say the least, the women were thrilled with my active participation. Posted by Picasa

Kelly, great pictures! I stumbled across your blog a few weeks ago doing an image search, and have enjoyed reading it. I was in eastern Uganda earlier this summer and probably had some very different experiences, but it's fun to read about yours and see how they're sort of the same, too.

One of my highlights was dancing after a goat roast - it was one of the funnest things I've ever done, plus everyone got a big kick out of seeing a mzungu try to move like they were. ;-)
